"No Room at the Top?" Bullshit.
Published 03/14/16 by Burritohunter [0 Comments]

Summary:

Lately I’ve seen a lot of comments on TRP bemoaning the fact that most of TRP is full of betas, and that no matter how hard you climb sometimes you just can’t make it to the top. I’m writing to explain why this line of thinking is complete bullshit.

Body:

Let’s start with a simple statistical analysis. First of all, I’m going to assume that an Alpha male is defined as the top 20% SMV, a standard measure around here.

While I know this is blatantly untrue, let’s just assume that every subscriber of TRP is an adult male living in the United States. Currently, the total population of adult men in the United States is 119 million. So if we take 20% of 119 million, we are left with 23,800,000 males in the top 20%, or roughly 24 million Alphas.

So right now there are about 144,000 subscribers to TRP, (keep in mind that nowhere near all of these subscribers are from the U.S.) Since TRP obviously doesn’t have a monopoly on RP truths, I’ll round up to about 300,000 men within the entire Manosphere.

So, we take 300,000 out of 24 million, and we are left with 1.25%. This means that the population of roughly all of the men in the Manosphere worldwide only makes up 1.25% of the entire U.S. population of adult men.

So why do these numbers matter? Well quite obviously, knowing RP truths gives any man a distinct increase in potential maximum SMV. By this logic, a man in the top 20% of men who fully understands RP truths, has a distinct advantage over men who still buy into the Blue Pill fantasy, regardless of how muscular or wealthy they are. A man who actively understands the psychology behind concepts such as Game and Frame has the ability to rise much farther in the SMP.

Therefore, the idea that TRP must always be full of betas or even ‘omegas’, is absolutely ridiculous. There is more than enough room at the top for all of us here in the Manosphere.

Lessons Learned:

TRP is not a mutually exclusive “race to the top,” everyone in the Manosphere can become an Alpha with plenty of room to spare.

Stop artificially limited yourself with foolish excuses. There is plenty of room for all of us to become Alphas, and having conscious understanding of RP truths grants you a distinct advantage in the SMP.

There’s no need to act like we are competing with each other here on TRP. We are all here to increase our SMV, let’s start acting like it.

Speak Like a Man: Improving Speech Quality
Published 03/13/16 by Burritohunter [0 Comments]

Summary:

Many people put little analytical thought into how they speak. Typically, the process of choosing the correct words takes precedence in your mind, however the tonality and pacing of speech can have just as much importance in communicating. A man with a strong, attractive and masculine voice will be perceived by others as a leader.

Body:

First of all, you must remove filler words. Words or phrases such as “uh, um, er, ah, like, okay, right, you know, actually, and basically,” have absolutely no place in a man’s vocabulary. These words never present confidence, and make you appear to be scrambling to think of the next thing to say.

Ideally, you want others to think that you always know exactly what to say. Therefore, a much more effective vocal strategy is to simply replace filler words with short pauses. A more preferable strategy would be to refrain from speaking until you can clearly and simply articulate your thoughts. Do not be afraid to pause before speaking, in fact a short pause before speaking presents a thoughtful and coherent response.

Second, focus on improving your enunciation. The simplest ways to improve enunciation of words involves opening your mouth slightly wider when you speak, and speaking more slowly. The best way to get an objective sense of your own enunciation is to record yourself speaking in different tones, and analyze which sounds better to you. Many people do not enjoy listening to their own voice, because it sounds vastly different from how we imagine our voices should sound. However this fear will only hold you back from utilizing your voice to its fullest potential.

Most importantly, focus on the tonality of your voice. Studies have proven that increased testosterone decreases the pitch of men’s voices compared to those of women, therefore deeper voices naturally seem more masculine. However this does not mean you should artificially lower your voice. The best way to create a genuine lowering in voice tone is to focus on breathing and speaking from your diaphragm. A simple way to intentionally breathe from the diaphragm involves keeping your shoulders still while you breath. If your shoulders noticeably rise as you breathe, you are likely breathing from your chest.

Finally, an important strategy to employ is to end your sentences on a downward inflection. Upward inflections at the end of a sentence subconsciously imply a question, therefore a downward inflection makes a sentence feel more firm, and certain.

Lessons Learned:

Your voice is an important tool in interacting with others, and mastering your voice will drastically improve your Game.

Don’t be afraid to record your voice and play it back to yourself. This is often the best way to objectively understand how your voice naturally sounds.

Deeper voices are perceived as more masculine. Focus on speaking from the diaphragm, and end your sentences with a downward inflection.
