Fight or die!
There is a call to duty for Catholics to be involved heavily in the affairs of the world — meaning, the Church, as well, since She operates in the world. Pope Leo summed it up well, in the late 19th century: Catholics, he said, are made for combat. He penned those words in an encyclical that virtually no Catholic knows of, and even more reject: Sapientiae Christianae (Christians as Citizens), issued in 1890.
Pope Leo spent a good deal of his time, huge amounts of his time, dealing with social issues and the duty of Catholics to respond — meaning fight. He was doing this in reaction to the ever-increasing threat of the Marxist specter, still somewhat in its infancy, but, nonetheless, gaining strength.
He saw the lies in Marxism — communism — and declared that Catholics have a primary duty to rise up against this: "To recoil before an enemy, or to keep silence when from all sides such clamors are raised against truth, is the part of a man either devoid of character or who entertains doubt as to the truth of what he professes to believe."
Did you catch that? One more time for emphasis: "To recoil before an enemy, or to keep silence when from all sides such clamors are raised against truth, is the part of a man either devoid of character or who entertains doubt as to the truth of what he professes to believe."
We are human beings, a composite of body and soul, and that means our work as Catholics, our combat, must be waged both in the culture as well as against the evils within the Church. A saint once said, "The only way to win Heaven is to die fighting."
Fighting is what we are all about here at Church Militant. It's why so many hate us in the Church and now, more recently revealed, in the government as well. It's only fitting, though — only Church Militant has taken on both Marxism and modernism, so now they are each taking us on.

No soldier goes into battle unprepared and untrained.
If you haven't noticed yet, then you need to soon — there is a war going on, and it is a war to the death. Two giant armies are marshaling their forces. When all of this is done, only one side will be left standing.
In short, it is evil versus God. Period. Even the Marxist media have picked up the theme, with their nonstop propaganda about Christian nationalism. While it is sad that it has come to this, it has to be accepted and embraced. Whether this is the beginning of the final battle on earth or just the final battle of this age we do not know. Frankly, it does not matter. What matters is that you join the war.
Every spiritual good, every divine utterance and every moral virtue is under assault by the purveyors of evil. Every institution has been perverted or nearly perverted: law, medicine, education, the arts, the media, government, the military and, yes, even — most importantly — religion. Make no mistake that the supreme target is the complete refashioning of the Catholic Church. To the extent that leaders in the Church fail to recognize this and act accordingly, they will have to answer to Almighty God when they die, or perhaps even before they die.
The Marxists will not stop until, through whatever means they can — violence, law, politics, social engineering, all of them — they force the Catholic Church to either embrace or surrender to their agenda of evil. But this will never happen. The sun will never rise on the day that the Church accepts child murder, euthanasia, sodomite marriage and the whole list of these wicked ends.

The Marxists can't control themselves.
No matter how hard they try, the Marxists simply cannot leave the Church alone — the Catholic Church. Speaking spiritually, it's easy to understand why. Satan runs the Marxist media with its support for all kinds of evil, propagating the horrors of the sexual revolution. And because Satan knows the Catholic Church is the only legitimate religion on the earth — in human history, in fact — he aims all his firepower at Christ's mystical body. It is not very hard to do the math there.
But what is curious is the question of his children here on earth. There is something in their psychology that draws them to the Church. They're practically obsessed with it. Check that. They are obsessed with it. It's almost always Catholic churches, Catholic families and so forth, in TV shows, movies, novels, you name it. There is something about the Church — magnetic, psychologically magnetic — where they simply cannot ignore it. So no one can be surprised when these periodic eruptions occur in the secular media, and it seems to be the case that these eruptions are becoming more frequent.
For example, within a 72-hour period, the Church was once again the subject of nonstop editorializing at major outlets. A few days back, The New York Times published a guest essay by Julia Yost from First Things entitled "New York's Hottest Club is the Catholic Church." It was a quaint piece on the increasing acceptance of Catholicism among the younger generations, in reaction to the increasing chaos in the world. It had a tinge of nostalgia sprinkled in with a touch of admiration for the cultural trend.
The piece focuses on a neighborhood in Manhattan called "Dimes Square," which has become something of a haven for those fed up with the zeitgeist, focusing on a blend between traditional Catholicism and Trumpism — a confident yet somewhat mellow approach to fighting back and resisting. It was certainly flattering and somewhat shocking on the pages of the New York Times, no doubt. But of course, anything even remotely favorable to Catholicism immediately brings out the boobirds.

It shouldn't have come to a political war — but it has.
The Christian world and, most especially, the Catholic portion of that world — which is the dominant one — needs to admit we lost the philosophical war with the culture back in the 1960s. As a result, the battle has now shifted to the political arena.
The battle for souls, spiritual warfare, is now firmly encamped in the world of politics. And over the last few weeks that issue, the issue of spiritual warfare, has been emerging as a topic.
Denzel Washington, in a New York Times article, honed in on it, saying, "This is spiritual warfare. So I'm not looking at it from an earthly perspective. If you don't have a spiritual anchor, you'll be easily blown by the wind and you'll be led to depression."
In recent interviews Church Militant conducted, we heard the same theme emerging.
It's becoming almost in vogue to start talking about spiritual warfare in the realm of politics. But, vogue or not, it is absolutely necessary.

The harvest has just begun.
The former boundaries or camps are rapidly disappearing: political-party affiliation, color of skin, financial status, liberal/conservative. While those designations have not completely lost their meanings, they probably mean less now than they ever did.
Almost every former identifying adjective now needs a new adjective in front of it to clarify. We see this, for example, in the war within the Democratic Party over the budget bill. Identifying as just a Democrat these days doesn't really tell you much. Are you a so-called progressive Democrat or a moderate Democrat (for example)?
Same in the Republican caucus: Are you a "Trumpian Republican" or a "never Trumper." The second word, Democrat or Republican, is essentially meaningless these days without a qualifier in front of it.
But Catholics have been into this whole specificity issue for decades now, as we see the Church imploding due to gay bishops who have subverted so much of the Faith as to bring about massive division. Like in politics, it now is essentially meaningless to identify as simply a Catholic. It needs an adjective in front of the word to give it any meaning.
Are you a liberal Catholic, for example, or a faithful Catholic? The label "Catholic" has been gutted of its meaning by the traitorous actions of homosexual clergy. On the political scene, while these second-tier delineations have been around for a while, it was the emergence of Trump back in 2016 that accelerated it all and brought it into sharp focus.

Faithful clergy condemn sacrilege.
Last month, Church Militant announced a new endeavor we are undertaking called "The New Catacombs." The aim is to gather together a large group of clergy, all of whom would be anonymous, even to each other (but known to us and personally vetted by us), to provide them a voice to speak out against the corruption in the hierarchy without fear of recrimination by their bishops. Hundreds of clergy instantly signed up (from all over the country) and still are doing so. We are now going through the vetting process individually with each one.
In the meantime, the idea is that a core group of 12 will produce a regular statement on some matter of grave importance to the faithful and then have the rest of the membership vote on it. If it receives a two-thirds agreement, Church Militant publishes it as the official response of the group.

Lose this war and be damned.
There isn't a faithful Catholic in the Church who can't help but wonder just how many of the bishops are going to be damned. More than a few would be where the smart money is.
And before all the "Church of Nice" and "cocktail Catholic" crowds get all upset and start clutching their pearls in horror, consider that this was a common theme in the first centuries of the Church and even in the centuries following. The bishops in the United States have once again backed down in the face of continued sacrilege or skirted around the issue. They might as well agree with it because that is the effect.
The topic of giving Holy Communion to child-killing politicians has taken on heightened interest since "Catholic" Joe Biden became president without actually winning the election. So with that fraud in the White House, all his bishop buddies circled the wagon around him — and their own sacrilege — rushing to the barricades to announce he is worthy to receive Holy Communion.
