A Democratic plan to create hell on earth.

The effects of communism or Marxism are not confined to the spiritual realm — far from it.

While the spiritual consequences are the most devastating, because they are everlasting, there are material world effects as well. Take, for example, urban America, the once great cities dotting the American continent: Nothing in history had ever been seen like this before, sprawling prosperous cities bolstering a giant economic engine that was the envy of the world.

But today, owing to a century-long plan hatched even as that prosperity was dominant, those same cities are in ruins, not even rising to shadows of their former glory. Perhaps the leading example of that is right here in Detroit, which was so high and fell so fast. The question is, "Why?"

America's urban rot has been a valuable tool for the Marxist Democrats. While it is that their policies have kept this the status quo for 60 years, they claim to champion the "little guy" — the oppressed, minorities, the impoverished.

But they are the very ones responsible for the oppression, the impoverishment — because they want it that way. It helps keep them in power. They are taking a page right out of Karl Marx's playbook.

For three days, The Michael Voris Show toured around Detroit, interviewed residents, peeled back the propaganda to show you the present-world effects of Democrats and their Marxism. And while Detroit is the focus because it's our own backyard, this sad story, this soul-crushing reality, is present in big cities all over America thanks to the communist agenda.

The nation is descending into darkness at a much faster pace than most people understand. Still, there is a sense — national intuition, if you will — that things are not just not good but, actually, pretty bad.

According to an NBC News poll last week, of Americans who think the country is in serious trouble, a majority of those think the United States is at the start of a long-term decline. When you boil down the math, it's a hefty portion who now believe America's best days are behind it.

In short, we are on life support, and our death warrant has been signed — the end of an empire. Of course, these are just people's opinions. On the other hand, these are a lot of people's opinions (just about half).

So these findings, coupled with mountains of anecdotal evidence, raise the question, What, then, of the future (especially for those who are young)? And by "young," we don't mean infants or juveniles. We mean those 18–30-year-olds upon whom these realities will disproportionately fall.

What we are witnessing is not very different from the collapse of the Roman Empire. For Romans, like Americans, it must have seemed that the entire world revolved around Rome, and, for quite a while, it did.

On Election Day 2016, my father, Russ, was all raring to go. He had told me the night before that he wanted to be first in line to vote against communist Hillary and her anti-God politics.

My dad — God rest his soul — was a military veteran, a patriot, a stalwart Catholic who knew both his Church and country were slipping away. Mission creep is what he was talking about. That's when an outfit, a country, a business, a Church gets off course and starts creeping away little by little from its original mission by adopting other goals and so forth.

Of course, every outfit has to adapt to new circumstances and correctly understand how they might or might not dictate a change in how the mission is carried out, but the mission itself cannot change, lest you lose your identity.
