Former Marxist devoted life to exposing the subversion of the Church.

As the Soviet Union communists penetrated major institutions in the United States, including the Church, some of their espionage activities started coming to the surface. Many people are already familiar with the notorious case of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg and their stealing of the atomic bomb secrets for the Soviets.

But that was specific government infiltration to get at military information to neutralize the United States' atomic advantage. What was not as widely known was the deep penetration into other aspects of American life — specifically religion.

In sworn testimony before the U.S. Congress in 1953, former communist (turned Catholic revert) Bella Dodd broadly outlined the Soviet plan for working with Catholics:

At different times in the history of the Communist Party, they emphasized the fact that it was possible for you to be religious and, at the same time, communist. But those were the periods in which they were trying to win over larger numbers of, let's say, Catholic trade-unionists, Catholic workers, and so forth and so on. Those were the periods which were called the periods of extending the hand of communism to the people in the religious groups. What you did was to say substantially this: 'These men have a blind spot. They believe in God, but we communists know that there is no God. But in order to get them to work with us, we will work with them on a minimum program.' As a matter of fact, even when you were in the Communist Party, the Communist Party from time to time established committees like the — there was a committee on Catholics for Human Rights, which consisted of communists who had been Catholics, whose purpose it was to work with mass organizations which had a large number of Catholics.

It would be incorrect to think of Soviet communist infiltration into the world of Catholicism as some cloak-and-dagger effort with thousands of secret agents wandering the halls of seminaries with decoder rings and midnight liaisons, for example. The much larger, by far and away, effort was made by simply targeting certain individuals as well as leaders of various groups who could be persuaded that at least in many areas, Catholics and communists have common goals they could work on together (for the betterment of mankind, you know).

In short, they tricked them, finding a "soft spot" or "blind spot" they could capitalize on down the road. And they did. They hunted out what we could term "sympathizers." Dodd and other former communists all came forward in those early years of the 1950s and testified the same thing — that it was not really secret communists planted all over religious and other institutions, but associations made where the commies could convince their targets they could, and should, work together.

The strategy to enlist sympathizers paid off handsomely. Why take the chance of having spies uncovered in colleges and media and churches when "locals" could do your dirty work for you? As we see looking around now, in the Church specifically, it worked like a charm. There may be here or there, in key roles in the Church, truly committed communists, but that's nowhere near as effective as having hundreds if not thousands of brainwashed useful idiots spouting your "social justice" vocabulary for you.

Saul Alinsky's mark on American Catholicism.

Despite a spate of recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings appearing to scale back their massive cultural gains, the Marxist force remains aggressively committed to the destruction of this country as we know it.

Bad theology and bad politics.

One ingredient related to the Church's leadership, especially in America, that is common to the collapse of both the Church as well as the nation is the current of Marxism so prevalent within the U.S. hierarchy. When Stalin came to power in 1922, he took direct aim at the Catholic Church and set about an immediate campaign to destabilize Her.

While it all does seem to smack of conspiracy theory-type stuff, remember that many of the so-called conspiracy theories over the past few years have proven to be much more than a theory. The same is true here. But since so much of this is "inside Catholic baseball," it has gone largely unnoticed by most conservative secular media.

While it is true that some of this has played out as what appears to be strictly Catholic civil wars, there is another dynamic much less obvious, which is no less present than the theological battles. The culture wars in the United States, it could be argued, really began first inside the Catholic Church, as Marxist notions and applications of socialism began to take root alongside theological errors.

And moreover, for another example, it was the bishops' national conference that came out publicly swinging for the fences in favor of Obamacare. It was Catholic Sen. Susan Collins, another product of the incubator, who voted the legislation out of committee and got it to the Senate floor for a final vote. It was her single vote that ensured Obamacare became law. Obamacare should really be called "BishopCare."

Obama proposed it, but the bishops, alongside their theologically corrupt politician sheep, are the ones who brought it to birth. The America we are witnessing before us today has the fingerprints of three generations of bishops and corrupt clergy all over it. It is the biggest story not told in modern American history.

Full stop — the Church has failed the pro-life movement.

Abby Johnson has become a very looming presence in the pro-life world, especially after having deserted Planned Parenthood and two abortions of her own. In a recent interview, she spoke with Church Militant about her frustration as a Catholic at the massive lack of leadership within the clergy (especially the bishops) when it comes to defending the preborn.

One case in particular that bothers Johnson, as it should all Catholics, is the apparently exalted, bulletproof status of James Martin.

If Abby sounds like she watches and follows Church Militant, well, there's a reason for that. Our talking points are shared by many in faithful circles, and they routinely come up as the destruction in the Church continues unabated. For example, for close to 20 years now, Church Militant has hammered on the insanity of the so-called seamless garment garbage proposed by homosexual Cdl. (now deceased) Joseph Bernardin of Chicago.

So, admittedly, it is refreshing to hear that the message has taken root. But on the political side of the house, Johnson says the pro-life movement doesn't have the stomach, right now anyway, to see the fight all the way through. They are too worried about people's opinions.

The pro-life movement also got caught flatfooted in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court Dobbs decision, which did kill Roe, but rejuvenated a listless and stunned abortion movement, which set about to lock down abortion as a legal right in state referendums around the country.

In response, Abby says not only do we have to have to keep pounding the drum, but it just might have to turn to blood in the streets. There are certainly massive challenges for the pro-life cause now that Roe is gone.

How to destroy America.

Looking at the collapse of the culture as well as the Church, many people are left scratching their heads — especially those of us who grew up in a very different America.

But just as it's intellectually off base to blame the crisis in the Church on Pope Francis, it's just as off base to blame the collapse of the nation on just one or a few influencers.

The collapse of the Faith stretches back decades — many more decades than most people stop to consider.

For example, Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven were two radical professors of sociology at Columbia University back in the 1960s. The aim of the husband–wife duo was to manufacture a crisis by overwhelming the welfare system with a flood of new applicants.

They correctly reasoned that this would force the government to adopt various policies that were radical leftist at their core, disguised as wanting to "help the poor."

Always beware of those who want to "help the poor," especially when they live in luxury. What we are witnessing in America today is their plan coming to fruition — actually, more than coming to fruition, nearing its completion.

The heart of the Cloward–Piven plan is this: violent revolution for the sake of socialism is not needed when, instead, you can simply so burden the welfare system that it collapses under its own weight.
