Discussion about the 5th gen war

Welcome to the 5th Gen Warfare Tribe.

Given that we are experiencing rapid changes in our culture, it made sense to have a place to track the populist movements / battles as they occur, and not necessarily under the banner of politics.

For instance, Gamergate, Occupy Wallstreet, Maga Movement, and now the Wallstreet bets have all been "battles" with something in common: They cross political lines and share a common, populist root.

Here we can talk about the greater culture war and discuss the big picture for players and actions.

@MentORPHEUS The IDF has been at a near constant state of war for years now. They have reached exhaustion and if they don't slow down it is going to get much, much worse for them. Not shedding any tears about that. I have had it with their shit.

What we are doing to Iran is what we did to Iraq in the first gulf war. I fought that one. Even did some fragging for the air campaign. Iraq actually had a better track record with their missiles that Iran is having now, keeping a pretty good tempo until about this point. It tied up almost half of the non-combat support air forces. Iran was able to keep that tempo up for about five days. Now it is just random shit they pop off when they can. In return their country is literally being deconstructed. Most people that haven't participated in such a campaign have no idea of how destructive it is. Fifty years of building up an industrial capacity while under sanctions, quite a feat, will be gone by the end of the week. So they have some choices to make.

These Olympiads are individual competitions, but country rankings derive from team totals/averages. Medal cutoffs (gold/silver/bronze) are percentage-based, so absolute numbers vary by year and participation (~80–100+ countries). Both nations punch above their population weight, reflecting strong STEM education pipelines. Results can fluctuate yearly due to team preparation, host factors, or individual talent. The image’s summary is a fair, evidence-based assessment rather than exaggeration. Iran has edged out stronger overall science Olympiad positioning in physics, chemistry, and biology during this period, while Israel shone in math in 2025 and continues progressing.

@MentORPHEUS I'm too poor with a global economy, but I'd rat5her not see the China shuffling cards.

The European countries denying US flights over their territory; some even might see that genocide isn't that one sided as pumped by media.

I have disregarded dumb opinions that Iran is too far to be ae threat to USA. Well times of wedging a war on a horse, only to one's neighbouring country is long gone. But I can't see why|how Iran would choose such a difficult target to ever attack with a nuke. Izrael on the other hand...

It is pretty safe to say that China has its finger in resupplying Iran. As to shot down any half asses decoy is costing a lot and US bleeds money.

This money are not used on infernal affairs and I wouldn't be surprised if democrats are sitting relatively quiet about a war as it hurts Republicas in at least 2 ways.

Immigration crisis is possibly getting less attention = more of them to vote.

Lack of funds or crisis will turn away some electorate.

@TheRedPike The Israeli land grabbers, have gotten their asses kicked by Hezbollah over the past week. 70+ merkava tanks destroyed, many by Kornet missiles. (Y'all know who makes those, RIGHT?) Meanwhile, many of the US bases around the Persian Gulf region have gotten damaged to the point of "Practically uninhabitable. " The personnel have gotten "reassigned to remote work duty " meaning making local hotels etc into legitimate military targets. We are currently speed running the end of American military and economic hegemony. Permitting Israel's tentacles to grasp control of our political and media systems a primary cause of all this.

Was a good run for a long time, but things aren't going back to what they were, no matter what transpires now.

@MentORPHEUS IT's not an offensive. It is a Special Real Estate Operation

@adam-l

emotion rather than logic and planning.

Possibility exists, reading later what are the world consequences I started to think otherwise. Along the lines of strenghtening US position on energy market and throttling development of competition. But just now I came across this analysis that whether correct or not uses more words than I would be willing to write

@SeasonedRP it was probably much less deep than you imagine.

After their success with Venezuela, they got cocksure that they could bully Iran to fold in a few days.

It has been a while since there was a US intervention, too, and some in the military wanted, as Trump put it, "fun".

It's absurd, but a lot of what happens in international relations, war as well, is based on emotion rather than logic and planning.

@adam-l not only that, it was a double tap strike, wherein the second American Tomahawk lingered over the area, revealing swarms of civilians at the site of the first strike. Rather than reassigning to an alternative target on this information, the missile got reconfigured to use remaining fuel to generate a supplemental hyperbaric explosion. American did that shit! Look with a RP lens, how Trump and other administration officials progressed through lying and flipping blame on the victim country, denial, trickle truth, then hand waving it off. Those supporting, denying, and excusing the entire affair, assume the moral culpability for it. If the world holds Nuremberg type trials in the aftermath, responsible individuals might literally hang.

@MentORPHEUS Not having a plan to secure the Strait of Hormuz and/or control Kharg Island seems foolish to me, though clearly there is a lot of information I don't have. I don't get the strategy here or endgame.

Guys, you did notice that the US deliberately struck the school with the children of the Iranian military personnel, killing dozens. Right?
