Welcome to The Hub. This is our welcoming tribe dedicated to introducing yourself, meeting new people, and learning about new tribes.
And of course, if you didn't think we were tracking edits you haven't been on the internet long enough. Here's our hall of fame.
Take it from a guy who's used them IRL
Ha! You old bastard!
Also - the M16 (yes, I am also that old) had a handle, but God forbid you use it.
SAW Handle/ "Carry away boys"
PS - Ok, I know it was not "designed" to be a carrying handle. But let's get real here. It looks and functions EXACTLY like a carrying handle.
@diyar are you actually diagnosed by a professional? Even if you are, it'll be good for your mindset to stop labeling yourself that way.
M249... much larger magazine capacity.
Not exactly. It can be belt-fed, but when it's magazine-fed, it's still a 30-round mag.
Take it from a guy who's used them IRL: they're not that great. Any dirt or carbon buildup, and it jams. It also tends to jam when you feed it with a magazine instead of a belt.
my fav LMG from a childhood game
I was going to correct you that it's an automatic rifle, and not a light machine gun, but I did a quick web search to double check. It seems that it has been reclassified since I got out of the Army.
Huh. Still haven't finished my morning coffee, and I've already learned something new!
@derdeutscher yes we would have to start with definitions.
Network - connections between power generating sources
sources - solar, coal...
Stability is everything
there is very few countries that are stable enough having steady supply of whatever commodities in the Earth.
At some point there will be a war for resources. By then the smaller countries better work out what to do and not be reliable on others. The aliances here will be inevitable.
Then there is possible solar flare (see video).
Lets take UK. EXCEPT coal I dont think UK have any other land commodity that can be used in case of an emergency.
Any wwise people in small countries should stop exploiting natural resources of its own land to preserve it for later. Then gather high density fuel (uranium) and spread the power sorces (small nuke generators were having some press in the last 3y - I think Rolls Royce was developing some).
80% of green electricity
It is supply side not network/management, they didNT have a problem with not having enough energy (otherwise they would shut supply in a planned manner).
There is a gossip that tech infrastructure of the network was neglected. Maybe lack of the trained people...

@Coop8 Stability is everything. Do you know that Spain/Portugal recently transitioned to 80% of green electricity..like solar or wind? Stability of that network cant compare to coal or nuclear plant.
My knowledge on the topic is not deep. But I really doubt that network is network.

@diyar I liked this. You have a good attitude/mindset, which is reflected in the perspective of the field report ("I"/"me" vs. "they"/"her"). This is a good example of what being your own mental point of origin (ref. Rollo) can look like.
I chatted with girl (super sweet person but not attractive) about her unusual name. What was special about this interaction: I was in a bad mood, my common vulnerable victim mood, that normally paralyzes me preventing me from getting anything done or being interested in ANY social interaction. Yet I forced myself to talk with her and talk about something completely trivial and unimportant. This interaction actually did help pull me out of my bad mood
I particularly liked this bit. Many would've spent a lot of energy on trying to psycho-analyse what she may or may not have gotten out of it, and have that be the judge of the situation. So it's refreshing to see someone not spending a single fuck on that.
