@deeplydisturbed I kept thinking the same. "There is nothing new under the sun" as the Roman satirist wrote.
So they knew what female nature was like back then. So was it the feminists not the trad cons who outlawed it then? I had tended to think it was a Victorian trad con thing where women were all angels of the hearth but maybe that was just a competing theory held only by the middle classes?
I know what you mean about our grandparents. I imagine they did have some pretty intense times on leave in the war but once they got home they settled down to steady blue pilled life it seemed.
One thing I would note is that I think there were still good girls and bad girls back then. Good girls were rarely worth making movies about though. Now they are all educated to think they are the star of their own movie and good girls are about as rare as movie stars.

Recently, I noticed a shift in my company after I identified a promising product opportunity. Suddenly, one of the executives has started frequently discussing that particular industry or space, and the CEO has hired a former colleague to work on the same product idea. When I spoke with this prospective hire, he mentioned that the CEO downplayed my contributions, saying I hadn’t done much beyond speaking to a few customers—despite the fact that I spoke to hundreds and worked relentlessly. I think the prospective hire knows that the CEO didn't contribute much at all to the product. Now, the CEO is making plans to fly across the country to meet with me face-to-face to collaborate on a different project. This sudden change in behavior feels a bit sketchy. What’s really going on here?
Do you suspect this is connected to what you shared with us a few months ago?
Read MoreI sometimes see free movies pop up in my feed. I was bored AF and decided to see what things looked like back in the day.
I was blown away. it's like they made a movie out of the sidebar!
This was 1947! If you were to listen to my grandparents talk, it was like these things never even happened back in those times.
They lied.
@LeonBarosanul I learned a lot about suicide prevention in the Army. There were signs to look for, such as sudden changes in behavior (especially if they had been depressed and suddenly seemed at peace, even cheerful - the decision had been made), or if they suddenly started giving away their possessions.
Thing is, you still can't always see it coming.
Most women do it for attention, and will put on a show.
Most men are serious about it, and when they've made the decision, they may not say peep to anyone.
Sorry about your buddy. I've lost a few over the years, including one of my wrestling coaches from high school who had been a hell of a mentor.
Do you guys know of any male suicide/depression resource, that leans more on the RP side?
Check out Terrence Popp on YouTube. He's more MGTOW than RP, but real MGTOW, you know? Most of the guys you see claiming that label were really sent their own way. He touches on this topic a lot.

So, an idiot friend of mine committed suicide a couple of days ago, we had plans to go biking in the mountains two days after the day he eventually hanged himself. I'm at a loss now, I know I'm not at fault but I still can not stop wondering what I could've done differently to ease his pain.
He's not from my closest circle of friends but he is in the top anyway. We lost some contact for almost ten years but lately we've been getting in tough more and more, and I haven't managed to catch any sign, nor did we manage to have a deeper conversation. I'm pretty pissed that his family (and his sister whom I know as well) apparently knew about him but haven't said anything to no one.
He ended a relationship two years ago because he didn't see any point in that and since then he changed, some other common friends claimed. I refuse to think it was just that failed relationship that brought him to this point, I'm certain it was a accumulation of factors which I'm not going to share them now.
Do you guys know of any male suicide/depression resource, that leans more on the RP side? I don't want no normie hurr durr men repress feelings bullshit. I sometimes feel that I'm at a risk myself (but in 10 years if things continue like they are currently so there's still time), but I also want to be more aware about subtler signs in others, and how to relate to them. This dude was usually bubbly and energetic so he hid his pain pretty well. I'm sure a male-male conversation with realtalk might've steered his boat to calmer waters.
