@First-light When I did it ages ago, it was an all day course then you took a test. When they instituted the requirement, people born certain years and earlier didn't have to do it, and I missed it by two years I think. No field requirement, and test was pretty easy. Concealed carry on the other hand had a test at the range.
There is no way that she can be there and not make your work out worse.
This has been my experience in the past even with men. Fortunately she use to go daily with her Mom.
She does her own thing while I do mine. We typically meet up while stretching then hit the hot tub and sauna together.
So far she's been a pleasant addition.
@Kloi Bringing a girl to the gym is suicide. She only wants to go to inject herself into every aspect of your life. There is no way that she can be there and not make your work out worse. There are certain places in my life where my girl is simply not allowed, no matter how much she begs. In fact, you already fucked up, I think, letting her think she could go at all.
When I go on a run, she aint coming. When I go to an AA meeting, she aint comin. When I need to write some righteous shit to myself, I don't want her in my house. They live to infiltrate and corrupt every male only space. Thus why there has to be rules to keep them the hell out.
I believe this is where the wisdom of its bad luck to have a women on a boat comes from. A boat or ship is just inherently a man thing. One girl will make every man on board lose his mind... cuz pussy.

No girl has said anything out loud but I can tell by the look their impressed as their gasping for air, knowing I've still got more in the tank.
Girl friend didn't want to go to the gym today with me. She was willing to go but I told her I'm not going to drag you when you're not into it.
Could tell she was both upset that I just dropped her off at home and impressed that I stuck to my guns. Leaving her alone to go chase my dailies.

Its not beyond the reach of someone outside the US to do as a holiday, so long as he can shoot and knows the basics of hunting.
If you do a US hunter's education cert, you can then buy a US hunting license. Hunters' education is a reciprocal thing where if you have one US state's education, you can buy a license in any US state, Canada and a number of other countries. You would need to find a state that allows people from other states to sit their hunter's education and allows it to be done remotely with no field day. There are usually one or two who will fall into that category under current regs. The multichoice online "written" test is easy to pass and these days is administered by an outside company that does all the states.
@First-light That’s pretty cool. It’s a type of culture that the U.K. just doesn’t have unfortunately - on account of there being no big game. I’ll watch the live streams of the bears salmon fishing when they’re about. Couldn’t imagine actually hunting one. Cheers for the info!
