I see nothing wrong with temporary holds during an audit.
A blatant breach of official divisions of power in the US government structure. CONGRESS has control of the purse strings and spending. The President can veto new legislation. Under limited circumstances he can make certain executive orders, but these are subject to legislative and judicial oversight. The President and his minions in the Executive Branch do NOT have legitimate authority to directly control spending.

I'm calling it as I see it. As a fellow long term member of this community, we'll be able to revisit this matter over time and compare notes about how it actually turned out.

I see nothing wrong with temporary holds during an audit. And I'm of the belief that 99% of anything our fed govt is spending on is not in our best interest and can be done away with.
It doesn't take deep thinking to see the motivational connection of Trump's top 0.001% billionaire cabinet members cutting programs that benefit the lower earning 85% of Americans, thus reducing their own tax obligations by the amount cut.
That's not what I think is happening, and until I see it I don't believe your baseless speculation any more than you would mine.

All we know right now is that he's gained access to the system. Presumably with Presidential authority given that it probably isn't that easy to just walk in and get access. I know some lefties right now are imagining some Ocean's Eleven bullshit. That's because of their TDS. Or now EDS.

And it is fucking hilarious! TLDR; a couple days ago the DOGE boys got doxed and the whitepeopletwitter troons and eurofags went on a rampage describing very specific acts of violence against them. The DoJ is promising charges. Starting this morning, reddit has initiated a massive purge of the entire site. (See link.) A lot of it is targeting gay and trans sex shit, though not all of it is explicit. They nuked one of the trans surgery subs. This shall be a day of much howling and sorrow.
And like I said, I don't think I have enough popcorn to get through this show.
