I believe it would change things. Because the current system enables only billionaires and the welfare recipients. Billionaires actually get more representation now than they would under my proposed system, because they pay so little taxes.
Elon Musk is a case in point - he pays hardly any taxes (relative to income) and yet he is able to have a lot of power.
My system would even out the politiacal power / representation by enfranchising the tax paying masses.

@MentORPHEUS We're in agreement. I never had any issues with getting the big vaccines growing up. I saw the outcomes of polio and the like. Genuinely horrific. I skipped my TB jab because I saw my brother's scar and noped the fuck out. I don't go anywhere near badgers as a result.
The last decade+ has mostly solidified my distrust of the state, and will openly question anything they plan for the population.
I know that 25 years ago, British complaints about "curry-people" this and "Paki-bashing" that were heard all the way over here on the other side of The Pond.
While this is true (I grew up in an outer borough of London where this sentiment fomented) it isn't exactly relevant to how much the state spends on asylum seekers and illegals.
Britain isn't as much of an island as you make it sound...but there is no shortage of boats coming and going to the British Isles.
That is indeed, an indicator of an island.
The situation around immigrants in America is one of unofficially not only "letting" it happen but aiding and abetting it.
As it is in the UK. Can you explain why this absolves the illegal of their agency in this dynamic?

I don't know who "The Libs" are in your mind, but there is a not insignificant contingent that moralise the positions of illegals, asylum seekers and economic migrants. This contingent is very much "refugees welcome at all costs". They too, aid and abet the oligarchy in their taking advantage of this wave. They have all of the inclination to let them in but no plans with what to do with them...
We agree it is a wealth transfer engine, but now we come to what I was interested in seeing you debunk... the wealth transfer itself. For the UK it is hoteliers, or property owners, raking in money from the state to house large numbers of foreign entities, to the tune of £2.9 billion.
But it now seems you agree that this wealth transfer is happening, but you want to now moralise it instead of debunking it?
