I can't speak for him but my disdain for NA/AA comes from the first step, admitting we are powerless.
Perhaps it is my ego that gets in the way but why the fuck did i choose to show up here if I'm powerless?
It's never sat right with me and my experience has been most people there, are court ordered. The vast majority of those will be back on their bull shit the moment they're off paper.
I'll just leave this right here....

smells a bit like pride. or stuborness. or you have have some sort of preconception.
now is not the time for any of that.
you can be proud in a few months time, when you can say that you've been sober for 90 days.
Right now, you need to get on your knees and beg for change.
AA are not 'beneath you'. You are not 'too good' for them.
trust me.

You have missed probably one of the biggest boats of your lifetime. If you'd recently invest in stock, even a starter 1k could set you for a liftime.. all it was required it was sitting with your finger on a trigger.
