The biggest difference being a Cosmic disaster would not be artificially created.
They have happened before, and the evidence is there.

@ColossalEarthsFan If you root around on their website, they do have a video that mentions a paper written by and for the Military, sometime in the 50's - 60's (if I recall correctly).
It asserts that Earth has experienced Pole Flips in the past, and it's rotation has temporarily stopped, causing a sloshing of the Oceans. It is said there are regions where it is more likely to be above the flooding (Colorado is a good spot and the 0.01% are building their bunkers there) and increases your chances of surviving.
For some odd reason, there seems to be the idea that precious metals will be the only viable form of currency. I would think Carrot Seeds are worth more than Karats of Precious Metals.
During a time of crisis on a global scale, I'm of the opinion that people would be more willing to exchange lead to get food.

@Vermillion-Rx shit man I'm really sorry to hear this. I'm sober for 4 years and a bit after drinking for almost a daily basis for 12 or so years. even a massive stroke did not stop me from drinking - I drank myself to sleep a couple of weeks after being discharged. I have epilepsy since then which does not mix at all with alcohol but even that did not stop me, even though it tempered me at times. Overall I tried to self medicate my own dark thoughts with alcohol but (surprise) it didn't work, but now I'm in a MUCH better spot - some thoughts are still there but I manage them way better. I quit cold turkey. I did not have tremors though and you having them is not a good sign. it's worth it to swallow your pride and check in with your psychiatrist as quitting cold turkey can be dangerous (probably no news here). He'll probably give you some benzos for a while, which might also help your bipolar disorder a bit, until your brain recalibrates itself from all this poison you've been ingesting.
AA did not align with me,for reasons I can expand on, but it might work though, it's worth giving it a shot. what DID HELP me was ALCOHOL EXPLAINED by William Porter - he has a blog and two books: "Alcohol Explained" and "Alcohol Explained 2". He breaks it down really nicely in a rational way that made me rethink my relationship with alcohol. check him out here, I've read everything and I can say he was a catalyst for me - alcoholexplained.com/articles/
Annie Grace with "My Naked Mind" is also an alright resource. but inferior to William Porter in my opinion. She is more on the emotional side but she did make some good points though as far as I can remember.
for legit mental disorders like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder alcohol is only making it worse. It worsens the condition and favors psychotic/manic/depressive episodes.
DM me if you want to talk more about it. I can not empathize with your bipolar disorder as I don't have it so I don't know how it feels, but I can empathize with alcoholism. you'll need to vent with people who've been through this, not just weekend drinkers. my timezone is GMT+2. or talk to somebody else who you're more comfortable with.
most importantly, go to psychiatrist ASAP. Leave the psychologist for after you've gotten past the critical phase and gotten to a relative stable baseline, whichever that one might be for you.

@carnold03 Given your obsession with dogs, I was reminded of a music video featuring dogs, and I sent you the link.
I wasn't expecting you to be this dedicated to the K9 craft to the point you'd bitch about it.
Unsolicited? It's a YouTube link, not my erect cock, calm down.
@woodsmoke I try (and fail) to practice this in cycles. One day it'll stick, one day.
You got any tips to cut it out?
Part of me is tempted to be a jackass and post the Michael Jordan meme but I'll be good.
I can't offer much more than moral support but you're getting both barrels o' that. Get the help you need, sir. We'll be here for you when you need to blow off some steam.
