@MentORPHEUS Regular people love the idea of firing federal workers and shutting down departments. Media is not presenting an accurate picture at all. People in flyover country are hardly fans of DC bureaucrats.
"Do You Deserve A Good Woman?"
An endless refrain I hear from men is that there are no good women. The assumption is that these men are themselves “good,” but a quick look at their anemic faith and unbridled passions shows that they are far from it.
What can we assume about a woman who cries out that there are no good men? She’s older, probably in her 30s. She’s certainly not a virgin, and probably has racked up numerous sexual partners from at least a decade of dating. She’s entitled, thinking she deserves happiness or success. We also know she has placed many worldly objects above God, and thinks a good man should be given to her because of her intelligence, beauty, career, or tattoos.
A man who cries out for a good woman is often not that much different...

I've sacrificed two years of growth to drink these painful thoughts away.
My experiences with getting sober seem to balance this out. I always feel like I have leaped and bounded in growth once I start to process whatever it was I was hiding from myself.
You will likely be 4 months to 2 years out, before you can look back and realize that alcohol can't have a rational place in your life
I'm over six months into the round of sobriety and that's where my mind set has gone the past few months.
At first I said the same thing, I'll just have a few on special occasions. Now I don't see the point. Alcohol is a literal poison that serves as a social lubrication.
I've never leaned on it for that purpose. I still enjoy occasionally sitting down at the bar and shooting the shit with regulars. I'll still almost always opted for a bar with food over a restaurant while traveling to talk to locals. I just can't justify rationally ever getting drunk again.
