"Political decisions as function of how much Russian Sasha likes Ukrainian Sasha" So much for brotherhood.
You misunderstand or I didn't phrase it clearly enough: by "Russians didn't want a war" I mean common people. The rulers of the Russia made a political call for the good of the Russia, despite the "brotherhood" - this is why Ukrainians had to provoke the invasion by massively amping up the artillery strikes on the Donbas in last few days before the invasion.
This is why nations need to split,
No idea what you mean here.
It is not exactly easy to oppose central gov in Russia.
Not disputing that. That being said:
The fact whether it's easy or not to oppose it has no bearing on whether Russians had faced nation-ending historical invasions that brought massive death and required massive sacrifice to oppose. One doesn't mean the other is incorrect.
hanging on keeping people generally poor, misinformed, uneducated.
Russian economy is a long discussion, so are the other 2.
, they absolutely had a right to invade Ukraine
Yes they did. Ukraine was and is controlled by USA/NATO and was their tool used to weaken, destroy or convert Russia b/c Russia, specifically Putin, refused to join their modern version of NWO, whatever it currently supposed to be.

Anyway, I go on the intermittent fasting from today.
I don't like coffee [disgusting with sweeteners + staining teeth] nor tea without sweetening, so I have researched that topic and it is a mess, no conclusion could be drawn from several websites.
Main sweeteners used on the market [I will be talking about pure forms not commercial products that are blends of stuff] are: Aspartame, Sucralose, Acesulfame—k, Stevia [my target].
Markers used for fasting are:
- does it affect ketosis
- does it affect gut rest
- does it affect autophagy
Has anyone seen good AND BELIVABLE research on the subject or have own conducted measurements?
My main goal is to better hormonal markers.
you might be right with that. Armenia is not as important nor strong as Ukr [considering man power supplied with arms], so they might think they will come back to it later and will do whatever they want.
-
But because abandoning Armenia does not have any obvious benefit [Russian forces would be enough to deter Azerbaijan], therefore I assume that Russia has prepared for a long [how long?] game and is not certain about their military/economical position in the long run.
-
R was afraid that Azerbaijan WILL escalate and R didn't have enough means to get involved against Azerbaijan and their supporters
- R struck a deal with Turkey that Azb will be allowed to do stuff if Turkey will keep supplying Rus with stuff
@Lionsmane8 the biggest tell how cautious Russia is about not overstretching their forces/finances etc, is that they have abandoned Armenia.
Sure, nothing is 100% and it can be some 3D chess move, but unlikely.
A common Russian didnt' want to invade Ukraine ("it must be ours again"), simply b/c they considered them a "brotherly" nation
"Political decisions as function of how much Russian Sasha likes Ukrainian Sasha"
So much for brotherhood.
So why do we mix political [dictators survival] decisions with common folks again?
Whether Putin is a nice guy or not is irrelevant. What matters is his actions, which, from the historical perspective are good for Russia
Yeah, exactly that.
This is why nations need to split, otherwise they will be taken for a ride and annihilated. Especially if there is historical indication of strong superiority of 'sister' country [not 'feeling' of brotherhood], as even Stalin was not exactly Russian. He was part of the establishment
Russians are historically used to death and sacrifice
It is not exactly easy to oppose central gov in Russia. It is quite far to get to Moscow from most of the parts of the country. For the same reasons government doesn't invest too much into infrastructure. They are used to it because they have never seen better.
Russias history ingrained in them the "defend the Motherland" idea - which is why it's so effective
the policy that holds Russia is effective indeed, I agree that to hold the country together it is good, but it is hanging on keeping people generally poor, misinformed, uneducated.
Being native in your own land is not a permission to act against the important interests of other nations especially if it's done under the auspices of hostile entity, which what NATO is to Russia.
Yeah, they absolutely had a right to invade Ukraine based on their own interests. This interest is not keeping NATO away, it is loosing influence over territory of Ukraine, whatever reason it might be: political, fertile soil [grain], natural resources, access to long border with EU...
