HFO-1234yf
This formula is a compromise; people want their air conditioners dammit! R12 and other CFCs damaged the ozone layer so got replaced with an intermediate solution, R-134a which could also get retrofitted into R12 systems with minor modifications. However, it's a potent greenhouse gas, on the order of 100X that of CO2.
YF-1234 for its downsides does an effective job in heat pump systems and requires a substantially smaller volume for the same performance as systems designed for the other refrigerants. This makes it the best compromise (of many factors) available on the market generated by ever increasing billions of humans wanting coolness.
butane, being apparently not worse at risk assessment, being cheap
In the early days of R12 getting phased out, hack shops would sometimes recharge air conditioners with propane and butane. A leaking evaporator could result in an explosive mixture in the passenger compartment. Turn the key and BOOM! Windows and eardrums blown out.

we have too much of it (ozone) now and we need immediate action otherwise people will die out.
This sounds like another dipshit/pleb level take that industry will gladly craft into their own propaganda and memes justifying doing nothing.
There's a distinction between stratospheric ozone and ground level ozone. The latter is actually harmful at pretty low concentration levels to organisms. Indoor concentrations where high voltages are present, from leaky cathode ray tube second anode supply to xerographic process printers to name a few, can become dangerously high for building occupants.

Notice how no one had to pay
What about the new refrigerant, that apparently is very toxic and it is better to avoid cars that had crash and may release it into the air.
However, this flammable and toxic gas could endanger the lives of drivers in the event of a head-on collision between vehicles or even injure firemen trying to extinguish fires caused by a car accident. The temperature at which HFO-1234yf ignites is fairly low (405ÂșC) and when it burns it produces hydrogen fluoride, which, when it comes into contact with water, is transformed into hydrofluoric acid, a highly toxic and corrosive substance.
Having butane, being apparently not worse at risk assessment, being cheap and royalities free.

happened to the Ozone layer.
Thanks to:
- increased copiers/printers use
- UV use in disinfecting electronics
- disinfecting idustry using ozone

I happen to have CAPRI in my portfolio that informed it might get overtaken and stock is now 60% up.
Is final share price going to reflect real valuation or expected buyout price?

@Vermillion-Rx I have used that approach as well, I always have a drive for something new, I tend to do it past first meet up, or for location changing, or on first meet up if I'm not local.

@Vermillion-Rx while I was looking for (its not Photoshoped) meme I found this and it is aken from video. I wonder did @whytehorse2021 came across something like this IRL
