@thebullyisHER I haven't looked at Iraq closely enough to be sure. But the rapidity with which ISIS was able to overtake the much better armed Iraqi army some years ago is an indication.
Likewise, I base my analysis of Afghanistan on the swift and overwhelming victory of the Taliban, mere days after the US and allied forces left the country.
Without strong external military support, these countries seem vulnerable to takeover by traditionalist religious fanatics.

@thebullyisHER Without any participation in the original conversation, I think one lesson from Afghanistan (and Iraq) is that you can't force Western values on a culture that rejects them.

@redpillschool Thanks.
Right now it looks like my post on Reddit hasn't gained any new members.
But they're still coming in from somewhere.

@MenAreFine You also have an (albeit out of date) archive of your sub here: www.forums.red/i/mensrights

We now have 85 members, more than double what we had two years ago.
The original purpose of this tribe - a backup for r/MensRights on Reddit - has not yet been needed. But it's good to know that more people are coming here.
I think I'll post something on the subreddit to publicise it.

Parler.com is a relatively uncensored alternative to Twitter, and it's been taking off big time.
They do ban spammers and abusive posters, so I'd advise against spamming it. But as long as you stay within their guidelines you should be okay.
Currently it's mostly populated by American conservatives because of the political censorship they've been getting on Facebook and Twitter. They've even censored the President of the USA on those mainstream forums. I'd say it was unbelievable, but it's all too real and it's what I've come to expect. And of course, in the leadup to the November elections, Reddit banned r/The_Donald - even though the subreddit was already quarantined the moderators have closed it to posting for four months. Reddit management said it was abusive, which is some achievement without any posts or comments at all!

@MenAreFine "collecting information from the clipboard on iPhones"
Reddit got caught doing that not long ago as well. Called it an "accident". Suuuure. And the $150M cash injection they got from China has nothing to do with it. Uh huh.

@TiberiusBravo87 I've been searching for a new phone that isn't made in China. I found three articles with reviews and manufacturer sourcing in major tech journals. Seems there's a lot of interest!
My two existing phones are by LG and Motorola. Hopefully they don't contain any Chinese backdoor chips. My next one will probably be a Motorola. I'd get a Samsung Galaxy, but I can't afford one. All my monitors are Samsung, and my PC runs on Intel with a Taiwanese motherboard.
