As a 40something IT pro and military veteran, I've created this profile and tribe to share my successes, failures, and experiences regarding finance to help others learn from what I've done right, and hopefully avoid repeating some of the many mistakes I have made over the years.
@destraht It's a temporary problem. So long as the businesses don't close those jobs are waiting for those people to come back. The real problem is the ballooning of the national debt from all the bailouts.
Here we are 2 months after I made these projections and the stock market dipped exactly as expected tracking to the 18-34% range.
We're not out of the woods just yet though, so we could always see another round of pullbacks pushing the market even lower into the 40-55% range. That being said, I'm cautiously optimistic things will bounce back now that the bailouts have been worked out and are close to being enacted.
In the meantime we can expect the ~5% volatility to continue as the market consolidates and settles.

@LeashedDoggie If you believe women are prostitutes for being attracted to men with high status, then sure.

@shitinhermouth23 I've been working behind the scenes in this community under different accounts, since, oh, before TRP even existed. I created this account to serve as a firewall between my old activity and new should someone try to doxx and attack me. @redpillschool and a couple of others know what's up.
I popularized the concept of branch swinging in 2007 or 2008 when I was posting on PUA forums and Sosuave, but it actually goes back to an old film I saw as a kid back in the late 80s or early 90s that I stole pieces of the concept from. Once I connected the dots for the behaviors we had been observing in the community everything fell into place and the rest is history.
Most of what we call "red pill" isn't anything new. They're concepts and terms applied to women's behaviors that are largely timeless and have been seen over and over and over again throughout history. The film I cannot remember the name of, the writer who put that scene into the film, oh, about 20 years before TRP even existed, is an example of this.
Those of us in the community have merely taken these examples and created a framework to apply to our lives to recognize what is the truth about women's pluralistic mating strategy. This is especially important in an age when the (western) world feeds us pretty little lies to be the beta provider mule women expect most men to be.

@karl Since you asked, the "red pill" in terms of finance represents the hidden truth, the secret knowledge, in that the historical barriers to building wealth have been removed. Never before in the course of human history has it been easier to build generational wealth.
The barriers that have been removed are the fee for buying and selling stock and having to save up to buy full shares. Now thanks to the advent of Robinhood and M1 Finance you no longer have to pay a broker exorbitant fees or need to save up to buy full shares. This truly changes the game.
How this applies to TRP is the wealth aspect of building status. Empire building if you will. Hitting the gym, improving your game, etc is first order thinking. It's a great start and anyone can benefit from it, but it fails to take into account the long-term big picture, which is where my mindset is at. Once you hit, oh, about 50+ all the stuff we tell the young bucks to do stops having the same kind of ROI as it can only take you so far, ESPECIALLY once you get older and hit the male equivalent of The Wall.
If you want to continue having access to 18-25 year old women on into your twilight years, then you have got to focus on empire building. Massive wealth through the stock market and owning businesses is largely how you do this. Hugh Hefner was having group sex with legit models for his birthdays and special events up to the day he died. If he was a old man living the life most oldsters do on a fixed income in some retirement community, he wouldn't have had that kind of abundance. Him being the king of his own empire that he built for himself is how he retained abundance into his 90s when he died. This is just one example of many, so don't get hung up on that and miss the forest for the trees.

@GayLubeOil Now that we have some actual data we can start making informed conclusions. Yes the virus is more lethal than the flu. Going by South Korea's numbers this thing is 5x more fatal than the flu. Those it does kill are predominantly those with pre-existing conditions, have compromised immune systems, and the elderly. All that being said it still remains to be seen if the corrective actions were warranted. Japan's solution seems the most reasonable at this moment in time:
Social distancing, a 14 day lock-in nationwide, and after that blip things went back to normal for the exception of high risk folks who are still staying home. For 80-90% of the country it's back to business as usual. No panic buying, no FUD on the news keeping everyone in fear, and they didn't tank their economy. THAT is the template the US and others should follow.
The US executive and legislative branches are both guilty of ham-fisted knee-jerk reactions and are mutually responsible for what's occurred, namely nuking the largest economy the world has ever seen. The silver lining in all of this is that the crashed market represents the best opportunity for building wealth in nearly a century. It's not just raining gold, it's a figurative monsoon. Go out there with those buckets and make that money!

@redpillschool I hadn't heard nationally, but I do know PA is locking shit down starting on Sunday, possibly Monday with the national guard getting spun up. Maryland already activated some guard units, but it's not in a full lockdown... yet.
@RedPillFinance I'm starting to finally get some positive feedback from my liberal "why would we ever need a gun" friends and family who now understand why I do.
