@dingleburry_joe A paid convention of allegedly masculine men is one of those crazy and illogical things that shouldn't be.
There are plenty of guys in the real world who will hang out with you for free. There is plenty of information about masculinity, picking up girls, and lots of anti-feminist rage porn all over the internet, all for free.
If some man is going to charge you money to come watch him talk and to hang out with him, this guy is holding himself up as somebody -more- masculine than the average guy who can benefit you more than hanging out with normal guys for free.
Which is crazy, because if a guy is a manosphere figurehead, he is by definition -less- masculine than the average guy. Guys who end up in the manosphere aren't manly men. They're men who aren't manly enough and got shoved aside by society, and had to learn from the internet how to become manly enough (or at least how to fake it) so they could get laid.
When one of these less manly than average guys who learned how to be manlier from the internet hits a certain point, he decides he's king of the non-manly internet men and that he's going to start selling his time to even less manly internet men. It's laughable. The average normal guy you meet in your hometown who never needed the internet to get laid is manlier than some manosphere weirdo who hosts conventions about manhood.
