Join us! - An invitation to join our Reading Group /t/plato)
Hey there everyone,
We are currently a group of 11 people. We have been actively reading Plato´s Republic for the past 8 weeks and plan to finish the book in two weeks from now. Every weekend we write notes and share them with the rest of the group. We build and learn from each other as we read the book together. You can check our notes for the eighth book of the Republic here /t/plato) .
We plan to start reading Plato's Protagoras about 3 weeks from now. It's a fun dialogue, very relevant to today and a great opportunity for more people to join us and become contributors. Personally, I feel this is a great opportunity for everyone interested in learning how to read philosophy and write about it. If nothing else, our group will help you improve your understanding of ancient Greek philosophy and spiff up your writing ability.
Our long term plan is to study most of Plato´s dialogues as well as the works of Aristotle.
Now, if you would like to join us in our reading journey, please head over to a special tribe I created, /t/joinus and follow the instructions.
If you would just like to subscribe to the tribe and read the notes, you are also very welcome to.
We at /t/plato) look forward to sharing our notes with you.
Cheers
