Welcome, Clay Man.
Since you have read the sidebar, as we tell you to, you are familiar with the William James quote from “Women, the most responsible teenager in the house” about the malleable nature of young men;
“How inferior to her is a boy of twenty in all these respects! His character is still gelatinous, uncertain what shape to assume, "trying it on" in every direction. Feeling his power, yet ignorant of the manner in which he shall express it, he is, when compared with his sister, a being of no definite contour.”
Nature made sure that women would mature in time for childbearing. This means that women mature faster than men do. As is explained to us in the foundational “responsible teenager”-article both Schopenhauer and James noted that while men takes a longer time to mature, we are capable of developing a greater character given time.
Developing our character is what we must seek to do with unyielding intensity – no one will do that for us. An absence of this will to seek your own truth will have you in the perpetual state of a Clay Man. A man that is mold-able, soft and easily bent by the distractions of today. A man of no true shape or form.
The remedy for the Clay Man is to seek out the fires that burns and strengthens him. Chances are that when you first embark on your Red Pill journey, you do so from a position of nothingness. You possess no strong conviction. You hold no true opinions. Your values are at best western traditionalism or perhaps classical liberalism.
It is my strongest conviction that in order to free yourself from your gelatinous self, you must seek to turn every stone, dive wells, wander valleys and ascend summits so that you can uncover the scriptures that speak to you. You can never enjoy a strong frame without the ownership of strong personal convictions.
What I’m trying to tell you, Clay Man, is that if you yearn for a strong character you will have be deliberate, meticulous and most of all actional in your search for values and beliefs that genuinely resonates with your most inner being.
Then you will become ceramic.
