Have no one to turn to or even shoot the shit. Close friends married off, moved away. Chipping on some hourly day job, trying to maintain my energy and place them where it's more important. But time, money energy, they're all limited.
I have my hobbies, but I don't want to poison my only well. Seems like I can be doomed from the get-go it's near impossible for me to get a house. Shit is hard, how do you manage? We're truly alone sometimes and it's a scary fact.

just try to do the best you can with the time that is given to you - it's all any of us can ever do

No. It only gets harder unless you make good choices and do the work.
I know too many people on the wrong side of 40 staring down an inescapable future where they're going to be forced to work until they die just so that they can be barely above the poverty line. I know people who neglected their health past the point of no return. I know people who ruined their relationships with their children because they didn't have the character that being a parent required or because they chose pettiness with their ex over the kids.
You can sit where you are and think it feels hopeless, but as long as you're able to make good choices with long-term benefits then that's what you need to be doing instead of focusing on the hardship of the moment.

You've got a few problems here....... partly outlook, partly practical problems.
Yes it's really tough: costs up, jobs hard to find. The world is going more feral in many ways: less support, harder life.
Suggestion: tackle things one at a time...... what one area can you improve?
